Kumasi, Ghana – Afua Asantewaa, the media personality who recently completed a grueling 121-hour singing marathon in Kumasi, has offered words of wisdom, urging individuals to move beyond the superficiality of social media and pursue a life of genuine impact.
In a video released shortly after her record-breaking attempt, Asantewaa stressed the importance of substance over shallowness. She encouraged young people to prioritize meaningful endeavors that contribute to positive change, stating, “If you want to live an impactful life, live beyond social media and hearsays.”
Asantewaa completed her second attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual on Thursday, December 26th. She sang for an astounding 121 hours and 39 minutes at the Heroes’ Park at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The 34-year-old singer’s performance included over 200 Ghanaian songs from various genres, showcasing her stamina and cultural pride.
Asantewaa’s message resonates deeply in today’s digital age, where social media often overshadows real-world impact. Her words serve as a powerful reminder to focus on actions that drive positive transformation and leave a lasting legacy.
