Some 22 Pakistani military officers were killed after Pakistan’s army helicopter crashed on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, multiple international news agencies have reported.
The deadly crash occurred in Pakistan-administered Kashmir region.
Mass ceremonial funerals were held on Thursday for the deceased.
The Russian-built Mi-17 transport helicopter crashed near Kashmir’s capital, Muzaffarabad.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistani army’s media wing, says the helicopter “crashed…during take-off due to technical fault.”
