The judiciary in Iran has opened cases against some 3,121 people who have been accused of “cooperation with the enemy.”

On Monday, June 8, 2026, the judiciary announced that 2,406 of those individuals have been arrested and remain in detention.

Iran’s judiciary spokesperson, Asghar Jahangir, says “So far, the assets of hundreds of these individuals have been identified and seized, and after judicial reviews and court rulings, these assets will be confiscated for the benefit of the nation.”

Iran has been at war with Israel and the United States since February 28 this year, with US and Israel killing Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the opening day of the war.
