Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has been taken into police custody, with the incident unfolding in real time during a live video conversation with an online interviewer on Sunday.
The arrest follows a weekend of high-intensity drama involving the actress and Pastor Chris Okafor of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, whom she has publicly accused of abuse and deceit.

The situation became apparent midway through the live session when the interviewer, noticing a disturbance, sought clarification.

Moments later, the actress was heard scolding an individual named “Charity,” accusing her of allowing visitors into the home against specific instructions. As the officers moved in, the interviewer advised Ogala to keep her phone switched on and remain connected to the stream to document the proceedings.

Comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate Dee One was among the first to confirm the development on social media. Posting on Instagram, he suggested that the actress’s claims against the cleric may have legal holes.
“Doris Ogala has just been arrested. I tried to warn her; the allegations did not add up. Now she will have to defend her story in court. Everywhere good, my people,” Dee One wrote.
Context: Allegations and Deleted Evidence
The arrest comes shortly after Ogala shared, and subsequently deleted, a post on Friday allegedly showing a man identified as Okafor in a private setting. In the accompanying caption, she accused him of “deceit” and claimed to possess video evidence to support her long-standing allegations of extortion and abuse.
Efforts to reach Ogala for a statement following the arrest were unsuccessful, as calls to her known numbers failed to connect and messages remained unanswered.
This latest development marks a sharp escalation from earlier reports of the actress being hospitalized following a reported suicide attempt, as the dispute now enters a formal legal phase.
