The Lagos State Government has demolished the car showroom belonging to popular influencer and auto dealer Ola of Lagos.
The demolition took place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, and was initially revealed through a TikTok video shared by fellow car dealer Ibilo. Reports circulating suggest that the showroom’s location directly beneath high-tension power lines may have been the reason for the government’s action, although no official reason has been confirmed by authorities.
Ola of Lagos’s Reaction and Future Plans
Reacting quickly to the incident, Ola of Lagos took to his Instagram to reassure his followers that his business, OOL Autos, remains fully operational. He immediately announced plans to open a new, improved showroom, expressing a determined and optimistic outlook despite the significant setback.
“OOL Autos New Showroom coming soon… Bigger and better insha Allah. We’re still active! We’ve been before our physical showroom and we’d always be,” he posted. “No sign of weakness.”
He encouraged customers to continue reaching out for car purchases, noting: “Pending the time our new office will be ready, you can Call/WhatsApp: +234 703 192 0541 for clean cars as usual you will love it.”
The demolition has generated significant discussion on social media, with many users expressing sympathy for Ola of Lagos and questioning the fairness and timing of the government’s decision.
