Voletta Wallace, the mother of legendary rapper The Notorious B.I.G., has died at the age of 78.
A press release from the Monroe County Coroner’s Office, said Wallace passed away peacefully in hospice care at her home in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, due to natural causes.
Wallace was a devoted advocate for her son’s legacy, working tirelessly to keep his memory alive after his tragic death in 1997 at the age of 24. The Notorious B.I.G., also known as Biggie Smalls, was a rising star in the hip-hop world when his life was cut short in a shooting.
