US Senator Chris Murphy Hospitalized After Stroke At Son’s Hockey Game

US Democratic Senator, Chris Murphy, has reportedly been hospitalized after suffering a stroke at his son’s hockey game.

The Connecticut Senator’s office confirmed his hospitalization on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

According to his office, he felt numbness in his arm during the game on Saturday and was rushed to a local hospital.

The 53 year-old senator – a rumored presidential contender for 2028 – was later moved to Johns Hopkins in Maryland, where he is “awake and alert,” says chief of staff Allison Hewitt.

Hewitt noted that doctors expect a full recovery.
