Thousands of Widows in Ashanti Region Receive Christmas Cheer from Philanthropist

Over 5,000 widows, including the elderly and those with disabilities, experienced a Christmas filled with joy and relief, thanks to the generosity of philanthropist and contractor, Mr. Emmanuel Aboagye. The annual event, now in its fifth year, took place at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Royal Parade Grounds.

Each beneficiary received a package containing rice, oil, and a piece of African print garment, ensuring they could participate in the Christmas festivities. Many of the widows had been struggling and were unable to afford basic necessities, let alone celebrate.

“Mr. Aboagye’s kindness has reminded us that we are not forgotten and that there are still good people in this world who care,” said one grateful recipient.

Mr. Aboagye shared that his inspiration stems from his upbringing and faith, emphasizing the importance of showing love and compassion to those in need. He believes the true spirit of the festive season lies in helping others and encouraged everyone to follow his example.

This act of kindness brought immense joy and relief to the widows, providing them with a sense of dignity and hope during the Christmas season.
