Nigerian singer, Tems, says she has no romantic connection with Nigeria’s Super Eagles backup goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye.
She made this known in an interview on the sidelines of the BET Awards ceremony on Sunday night.
Tems was speaking about her representation of Africa on the global stage when the interviewer asked her whether she had any romantic connection with Okoye.
Asked whether she knew Okoye, Tems says
“I wish I did though.”
Her response prompted the interviewer to jokingly ask if she had ever attempted to “shoot her shot” at the goalkeeper.
Tems replied: “We don’t shoot shots here. We are friends, we friend each other, and we are family. No shots, just family, sisters and brothers.”
