BOURNEMOUTH, England – Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo finally opened his FA Cup account for AFC Bournemouth in spectacular fashion, scoring and assisting in a dominant 5-1 victory over Championship side West Bromwich Albion in the third round.
Semenyo’s impact was immediate after coming off the bench at halftime. Just two minutes into the second half, the recently turned 25-year-old latched onto a pass from David Brooks, following excellent build-up play down the right flank involving Dango Ouattara, and unleashed a powerful shot into the top corner of the net.
The goal marked Semenyo’s first in the competition since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City on January 27th during the 2022-2023 season. It also sparked a rout, with Bournemouth ultimately cruising to a comfortable win.
Semenyo wasn’t finished there. He capped off a memorable performance by providing an assist for Daniel Jebbison to score Bournemouth’s fifth goal, further cementing their dominance.
This performance brings Semenyo’s season tally to six goals and three assists in 21 appearances across all competitions. Fans can scroll down to watch Semenyo’s goal and assist against West Brom.
