Police in Nigeria’s Edo State have arrested TikTok Aza Woman for falsely claiming the kidnapping of some students.
Aza Woman, real name Uzebor Emmanuel, had allegedly spread false information regarding the abductions of students at Green Park Academy Aduwawa and Western Boys’ College Ikpoba Hill, Benin City.
Last week, she posted a video on TikTok, which has since been removed.
In the video, she claimed that a group of students travelling to sit for their junior West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) had been kidnapped.
