Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has secured the services of Spanish coach Luis Enrique until June 2027, after he signed a new deal with the French giants. This extension ensures Enrique will remain at the helm for the foreseeable future, aiming to build on the success of his first season, which saw PSG win the Ligue 1 title, Coupe de France, and reach the Champions League semi-finals.
Enrique’s new contract is a significant development for PSG, who are looking to establish dominance in European football. The club’s President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has made no secret of his ambition to win the Champions League, and Enrique’s extension is a crucial step towards achieving that goal.
In addition to Enrique’s new deal, several key players have also committed their futures to PSG. Nuno Mendes, Achraf Hakimi, and Vitinha have all signed new contracts, according to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano. These contract extensions demonstrate the club’s commitment to building a strong squad and securing its core talent.
Enrique, who replaced Christophe Galtier as PSG manager in July 2023, has had a successful spell at the club so far. He led Barcelona to two La Liga titles, including one as part of the treble with the Champions League and Copa del Rey, during his time as manager from 2014 to 2018.
With Enrique at the helm and a talented squad at his disposal, PSG will be looking to make a strong push for European glory in the coming seasons.
