Killer of Ivorian Footballer, Serge Aurier’s Brother Jailed 23 Years In France

The killer of Christopher Aurier, the brother of famous Ivorian footballer, Serge Aurier, has been sentenced to 23 years in prison in France.

 

Christopher Aurier was shot dead one morning in July 2020 outside Kin’s nightclub in Toulouse.

The killer, a 31-year-old man initially fled the scene but later turned himself in to the police, confessing to having killed Christopher.

 

After about four years of court proceedings, he was jailed by a judge at the Haute-Garonne Assize Court in France on Friday, May 31, 2024.

 

The Aurier family were present in court as the judge passed the verdict.

 

Christopher was a footballer himself and was playing for Toulouse Rodeo in the French fifth tier when his life was cut short. At the time of his murder, his brother Serge Aurier was playing for Tottenham in England.
