Kylian Mbappe’s childhood dream of playing for Real Madrid, has come true as the Spanish and European champions announced his signing on Monday night, June 3, 2024.
In an official statement on Monday night, the club said: “Real Madrid C.F. and Kylian Mbappé have reached an agreement under which he will become a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons.”
The announcement brings to an end years of negotiations and speculations about Mbappe becoming a Madrid player.
For years, Mbappe has made it clear that his dream was to play for Madrid.
Photos of him as a youngster sitting in a room with posters of Madrid players such as Cristiano Ronaldo surfaced on the internet some years back, and there has been consistent speculation in the media about his move to Madrid.
In February this year, Mbappe announced through a video message that he was going to exit the French club, Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2023/24 season.
