After making waves with her debut project For Melanin Girlies, Ghanaian producer and multi-instrumentalist Mēl is back with her first release of 2025. Her new single, “Thamanga”, takes its name from a Malawian word meaning run and serves as a wake-up call for women to leave relationships that leave them feeling confused and unappreciated.
The song delivers a powerful message: love should be direct, assuring, and secure. Any situation where one feels unheard or undervalued is a signal to walk away. Produced by Mēl, the track features Malawian singer Kim of Diamonds and Ghanaian vocalist Stella Sena, blending their soulful voices into an emotionally charged anthem.
