The 2024 Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit (GWES) came to a close at the Accra Digital Centre, leaving a lasting impact on participants. The event, themed “Redefining Prosperity to Enhance Productivity,” brought together a diverse group of women business owners, providing a platform for networking, learning, and growth.
Eunice Adjei, National Project Coordinator of the WeRise Network, emphasized the importance of collaborations and learning from experts. “I’m excited to see this summit bring together women entrepreneurs to build formidable relationships and acquire knowledge that will help them incorporate best practices into their daily operations and scale their businesses,” Ms. Adjei stated.
The summit featured masterclasses and panel discussions on key topics such as financing and business sustainability. Representatives from Hollard Insurance, GCB Bank, and Absa Bank shared valuable insights on navigating the financial landscape to drive business growth.
A highlight of the event was a panel discussion on “She Stories: Our Youth, Our Success,” moderated by Yvonne Jacy Akoma Boaten, CEO of The Optimist Club. This session explored the journeys of successful women entrepreneurs, emphasizing the role of mentorship and strategic partnerships in fostering the next generation of female business leaders.
The 2024 GWES celebrated the achievements of women-led businesses in Ghana while equipping them with the tools to redefine prosperity and enhance productivity. As the summit concluded, participants expressed optimism about the future of women’s entrepreneurship in Ghana.
