Amankwah Forson Shines with Dramatic Late Goals, Secures Spot in EFL Championship Team of the Week

Ghanaian midfielder Amankwah Forson has earned a place in the SkyBet EFL Championship Team of the Week following his remarkable display in Norwich City’s thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Coventry City.

Forson, who came on as an 85th-minute substitute, delivered a game-changing performance by scoring two late goals in the 91st and 94th minutes to secure victory for the Canaries. His heroics not only broke a streak of seven games without an appearance but also underlined his potential as a key contributor for the team.

The former Red Bull Salzburg player admitted to facing challenges but expressed optimism about regaining his confidence. “It’s been a tough period, but I’m starting to feel like myself again,” Forson said after the match.

Forson’s efforts were complemented by fellow Norwich midfielder Kenny McLean, with both players earning spots in the prestigious Team of the Week.

This season, Forson has recorded two goals and two assists in 17 appearances for Norwich City. He is expected to play a crucial role in the team’s FA Cup Third Round clash against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, January 11, at 15:00 GMT.

Forson’s late-game brilliance continues to capture attention, showcasing the rising star’s resilience and talent on the pitch.
