Iran’s judiciary has reportedly seized several properties linked to former Iranian national football team captain, Ali Karimi, on allegations of supporting hostile governments. The country’s judiciary’s Mizan News reported the seizures on Monday.
According to the report, two commercial units and four residential units had been identified and confiscated by court order. It added that one of the properties belonged to the popular footballer’s son.
The exiled dissident footballer has been supportive of the anti-regime protests in Iran in recent years.
