Members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) are starting a nationwide, indefinite strike today, March 9, 2026.
The strike action, according to the association, is over prolonged delays in the implementation of their agreed conditions of service.
Several Ghanaian government agencies, ministries, and departments as well as local government offices are expected to be affected by the strike.
Leadership of CLOGSAG says the strike has become necessary after several attempts to engage the government over the implementation of the agreed conditions of service did not deliver the desired results.
The National Labour Commission of Ghana had ordered CLOGSAG to suspend the strike but the association says it will proceed with its industrial action.
