Wife of Iran’s Supreme Leader Killed In US-Israel Airstrikes

Mansoureh Khojasteh, the Wife of late Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has reportedly been killed in the US-Israel strikes on Iran.

A report by Iranian media outlet, Press TV, says Khojasteh had been in coma since the strike on Saturday, February 28, 2026 that marked the start of ‘Operation Epic Fury’.

She was 79. She has been married to Khamenei since 1964 and was his only wife.

In the opening salvo of the US-Israel military operation on Iran, Khamenei’s home was hit by rockets, resulting in his death the same day.

Who was Mansoureh Khojasteh?

Mansoureh Khojasteh was born in 1947 in a Persian religious family in Mashhad, Iran.

Her father was Mohammad Esmaeil Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, a famous businessman in Mashhad.

She is also the sister of Hassan Khojaste Bagherzadeh, former deputy director of IRIB.
