Two Suspects Arrested in Connection with Attack on Nigerian Singer Lil Kesh

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two individuals, Mathew Adewole and Mukhtar Muhammad, who are the prime suspects in the attempted murder of Nigerian singer Lil Kesh. The suspects allegedly inflicted deep cuts on the singer’s neck during an attack at his Lagos residence in August.

Following the attack, Lil Kesh reassured his fans on social media, expressing gratitude for their support and prayers. The incident occurred just weeks before the abduction of another popular social media figure, Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, who was later released.

The Kano State Police Command announced the arrests on Saturday, stating that the suspects were apprehended in the Na’ibawa Quarters of Kano. Law enforcement also recovered N2.12 million, believed to be stolen during the incident. The suspects have since been transferred to the Lagos State Police Command to face prosecution.

The statement from the Kano State Police read, “Kano State Police Command nabs two suspects in Na’ibawa Quarters, Kano, Mathew Adewole and Mukhtar Muhammad, in connection with armed robbery and attempted murder of Lil-Kesh at Bera Estate, Chevron, Lagos. Stolen N2.12m recovered and suspects handed over to Lagos Police for prosecution, #Justice Served.”
