Veteran actor Tom Njemanze has made a public appeal for financial assistance to undergo urgent surgery for prostate cancer.
In a viral video shared on social media, Njemanze disclosed his diagnosis and current hospitalization, pleading for support. Film producer Stanley Ontop posted the video on Instagram, urging fans and well-wishers to contribute to Njemanze’s treatment and surgery.
Ontop said: “Hello guys, one of our Nollywood legends is sick and needs urgent surgery. Sir Tom Njemanze has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, and he needs your support to undergo surgery. Nothing is too small, fams. Help our legend live again.”
Njemanze is a renowned actor known for his memorable performances in Nollywood classics such as Issakaba, Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, and Osuofia in London.
This appeal follows a similar request by another veteran actor, John Amaefule, who sought financial assistance for his battle with a partial stroke and cancer just months ago.
Fans and colleagues have taken to social media to express their support and prayers for Njemanze’s recovery.
