The Ambassador of Zimbabwe to Mozambique and Eswatini, Victor Matemadanda, has died.
Permanent Secretary in Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Nick Mangwana, confirmed Ambassador Matemadanda’s death on his X handle on Sunday morning, June 21, 2026.
Mangwana wrote: “Ambassador Victor MatemadandaVictor MatemadandaVictor Matemadanda passed away last night. This is a deeply saddening loss.”
He added that “Dr Matemadanda served as Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to the Republic of Mozambique and the Kingdom of Eswatini. Sincere condolences go to His Excellency the President, whom he represented with dedication, and to his family, friends, colleagues and the nation at large.”
Ambassador Matemadanda served the country with distinction in both Government and diplomatic roles.
