Vinicius Junior
Brazilian international, Vinicius Junior, has crowned the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season for 2023/24.
UEFA named the Real Madrid winger the Player of The Season following his brilliance in the Champions League final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Vinicius scored Madrid’s second goal in the final in the 83rd minute, crashing Dortmund’s hope of a comeback.
He was also exceptional in the two-leg semifinal encounter between Madrid and Bayern Munich, winning the Man of The Match for the two fixtures.
Vinicius is now a contender for the Ballon d’Or, with Madrid President, Florentino Pérez, backing him to the coveted award.
During Real Madrid’s Champions League title parade in Madrid, Spain, supporters of the European and Spanish champions were heard chanting for Vinicius to be awarded the Ballon d’Or this year.
