US President, Donald Trump, has criticized Pope Leo XIV for not condemning the alleged killings of 42, 000 innocent and unarmed Iranian citizens by the Islamic regime in Iran, saying it is unacceptable for Iran to have a nuclear weapon.

In his latest Truth Social post, Trump wrote: “Will someone please tell Pope Leo that Iran has killed at least 42,000 innocent, completely unarmed, protesters in the last two months, and that for Iran to have a Nuclear Bomb is absolutely unacceptable.”

Trump and Pope Leo have been clashing publicly over the US-Israel war on Iran. Pope Leo believes the war on Iran is “unjust”.

The Pope had warned about the risk of democracies falling into “majoritarian tyranny”, criticizing leaders who wage war.

But Trump says the Pope is “weak on Crime and terrible for foreign policy.”
