Nosike’s ’12 hours’ wins best short film

Tobe Nosike’s debut directorial film 12 hours has clinched the prestigious Best Short Film Nollywood award at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) 2024. 

 

The award ceremony held at York Woods Library Theatre, 1785 Finch Ave W, North York, ON M3N 1M6, Toronto, Canada.

 

Officially selected by the Canadian Screen Award-qualifying film festival, 12 Hours showcases Nosike’s exceptional talent and innovative storytelling.

 

The 25-minute mystery thriller follows Kelvin, a Lagos-based photographer, who wakes up to an inexplicable terror at midnight. In a haunting quest for answers, Kelvin is forced to relive the last 12 hours of his life, grappling with the falsity of his perceptions.

 

As the truth unravels, he faces the dilemma of accepting his fate or fighting back.
