Mali’s Defence Minister Killed In Terror Attacks

The Defence Minister of Mali, General Sadio Camara, has been killed in attacks carried out terror groups.

His death was announced on Sunday, a day after al-Qaeda affiliate and Tuareg rebels carried out coordinated attacks.

Reports say Camara’s house in the garrison town of Kati came under attack.

On Saturday, the Malian army has announced that some unidentified ⁠armed “terrorist” groups ⁠have attacked several military positions in ‌Bamako, the capital of Mali.

According to the army, the terrorists have also launched attacks in the interior of Mali.

In a statement released on Saturday, the army announced that fighting ⁠was ongoing.

Local media reports suggest that gunfire was heard near the country’s main airport in capital Bamako.

⁠Two explosions and sustained gunfire have been heard near Mali’s main military camp and several other locations across the military-ruled country witnesses and journalists on the ground, reported.
