Gunmen have allegedly shot and killed Toba Ajiboye, the organising secretary of the Lagos chapter of Nigeria’s National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
Ajiboye was killed on Sunday night, July 12, 2026.
He was reportedly attacked while returning home from his childhood neighbourhood in the Fadeyi area of Lagos.
The gunmen reportedly intercepted his vehicle along the Ikorodu road axis and opened fire.
