Arsenal’s teenage sensation Max Dowman has officially etched his name into the record books, becoming the youngest player ever to feature in the UEFA Champions League.
The 15-year-old midfielder came on as a 73rd-minute substitute in Arsenal’s dominant 3–0 win over Slavia Prague on Tuesday night, setting a new benchmark at just 15 years and 309 days old.
Breaking the Record
Dowman shattered the previous record held by German striker Youssoufa Moukoko, who made his Champions League debut for Borussia Dortmund in 2020 at the age of 16 years and 18 days.
This historic debut further underscores Dowman’s rapid progression under coach Mikel Arteta. Just last week, the young star also became the youngest-ever player to start a senior match for Arsenal in their 2–0 League Cup victory over Brighton, signaling his growing importance to the first-team squad.
