A Nigerian writer, identified as Daud Gambo, has reportedly died in a road crash just hours after announcing the death of his mother.
Gambo reportedly died on Sunday, September 20, 2026, while travelling to Kano State to attend the funeral prayer of his late mother.
Before setting off on the journey, Gambo took to Facebook to announce his mother’s death and shared news of the upcoming funeral.
However, hours later, he was reportedly involved in a road crash and also lost his life.
The incident has left friends, family members and others who knew Gambo mourning the loss of both mother and son within a short period.
