Nigerian afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy, will alongside Shakira, Justin Bieber, and Madonna perform at the maiden edition of FIFA World Cup final halftime show.
In an announcement on Wednesday, FIFA says the historic 11-minute show will take place during the final on July 19, 2026 at th New York New Jersey Stadium) in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Justin Bieber will co-headline the performance alongside Madonna, Shakira and BTS, the South Korean boy band.
Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, the Venezuelan conductor and music and artistic director of the New York Philharmonic; and the Webby Award-winning PS22 Chorus featuring British rock band Coldplay will also perform.
The halftime show marks the first time a FIFA World Cup final will feature a Super Bowl-style entertainment performance. It is curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay and is aimed at supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, says the event will help advance access to education and football opportunities for children around the world.
“When it comes to what the world needs, there is nothing more important than education. We are proud to have Justin Bieber joining Madonna, Shakira and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and our mission to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world,” he says.
