Narges Mohammadi, the Iranian human rights activist and 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, has been discharged from hospital and is back home, her foundation announced.
The 54-year-old left Pars Hospital in Tehran on Sunday, according to a statement from the Narges Foundation on Monday.
She was moved from prison to the hospital in early May following two episodes of unconsciousness and a severe cardiac crisis.
The statement indicated that Mohammadi is “scheduled to follow up on her medical complications with her medical team through hospital visits and daily outpatient physiotherapy over the coming weeks”.
It added that doctors say it is “vital she remains under close medical observation”.
