The White House has ordered Iran to surrender its enriched uranium stockpile as part of any agreement with Washington.
The White House principal deputy press secretary Anna Kelly issued the order while speaking with Fox News on Monday, May 18, 2026.
She reminded Iran that President Donald Trump “does not bluff” and retains all military options if negotiations fail.
She said “This enriched uranium that they possess, they can’t keep it,” saying the enriched uranium issue was one of Trump’s “red lines” in talks with Tehran.
Kelly noted that “President Trump has been very clear that enriched uranium must be turned over,” adding that “He does not bluff.”
According to her, Iran had been “decimated militarily,” “strangled economically” and left “more isolated than ever before,” saying Tehran should “get serious and make a deal with the US before it’s too late.”
