Two teenagers reportedly shot dead three adults at the Islamic Center of San Diego in the US before killing themselves.
According to San Diego Police Chief, Scott Wahl, one of the victims was a security guard at the mosque.
Wahl told journalists that the security guard “played a pivotal role” in preventing the attack from becoming even worse.
NBC News identified the two teenage shooters as Cain Clark, age 17, and Caleb Vazquez, 18.
Reports say they started firing bullets outside the Islamic Center of San Diego around 11:40 am on Monday, May 18, 2026.
