American President, Donald Trump, has revealed that his ex-friend and rap mogul, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, has asked him for a presidential pardon.
Diddy was jailed for four years and two months on Friday, October 3, 2025, by Judge Arun Subramanian following his conviction on two prostitution charges.
Speaking from the White House after Diddy’s sentencing, Trump admitted that he has been asked to pardon him.
He says “I have a lot of people have asked me for pardons. I call him Puff Daddy has asked me for a pardon.”
Trump first spoke about the possibility of pardoning Diddy on August 1 this year when the American rapper was awaiting sentencing.
In an interview on Newsmax’s Finnerty with hos Rob Finnerty, Trump recounted “I was very friendly with Diddy once. We got along great. He seemed like a nice guy.”
But Trump noted Diddy’s criticisms during his presidential campaigns, adding “When I ran for office, he was very hostile toward me. That type of thing can cloud our judgment sometimes.”
