Ghana Police Arrest Man For Operating illegal Clinic For 11 Years

Police in Ghana have arrested a man accused of operating an alleged illegal clinic at Yeji in the Bono East Region.

The suspect, identified by police as Hanson Osei, was arrested on September 28, 2025.

A statement signed by ASP Appiah Danquah, acting Public Relations Officer for the Bono East Regional Police Command, said the suspect had converted a chamber-and-hall room into a clinic.

 

According to the statement, “a search of the premises uncovered several used clinical items, including needles, malaria injection bottles, infusion rubber sachets, and other medical materials.”

The statement indicated that during interrogation, the suspect admitted that he had been operating the clinic for the past 11 years without authorization from any recognized medical school or licensing authority.

It added that he was put before the Tuobodom District Court on September 30, 2025 and has been remanded to reappear on October 6, 2025.
