In a setback for the highly anticipated Marvel film, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” star Tom Holland was briefly hospitalized after an on-set stunt went wrong. The incident, which occurred on Friday, September 19, 2025, resulted in the actor sustaining a mild concussion.
Holland was treated for his injury and is expected to make a quick recovery, with a return to filming anticipated within a few days. However, filming has been temporarily paused to allow for production meetings to adjust the schedule.
The movie, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is set to be a more “street-level” take on the popular superhero. It is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026. Despite the temporary halt in production, Holland is reportedly recovering well, and the project remains on track.
