A new report by the United Nations (UN) has alleged that the North Korean regime is killing people solely for watching foreign movies.
According to the report, the seclusive nation is rapidly imposing death penalty for individuals caught watching and sharing foreign movies and TV dramas.
The BBC first reported on the UN Human Rights Office report, saying it revealed that North Korea is forcing more citizens into labour while further restricting freedoms.
The report says North Korea has tightend control over “all aspects of citizens’ lives.”
According to the report, “No other population is under such restrictions in today’s world”, saying surveillance in Korea has become “more pervasive.”
