Sébastien Lecornu (L) served as Emmanuel Macron’s armed forces minister for three years
France President, Emmanuel Macron, has appointed Sébastien Lecornu as new French Prime Minister.
Lecornu’s appointment on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, came shortly after a vote of confidence ousted François Bayrou as head of government.
