A 25-year-old Zimbabwean, Shepherd Mudoveri, who died in a fire outbreak in Sharjah just a week after relocating to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been buried.
Mudoveri died while trying to escape a devastating fire that engulfed a high-rise residential tower in Al Nahda, Sharjah.
Reports indicate that the fire broke out on the 42nd floor of the building where the late Zimbabwean had just settled within just a week.
According to reports, Mudoveri was trapped inside the building as the fire spread quickly, leaving him with no escape route.
His mortal remains were repatriated to his native Zimbabwe and were laid to rest in Chivhu on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
His friends and family members at the burial service could not hold back their tears.
