The streets are talking, and King Trilla is back to deliver. The long-awaited sequel to his debut project, Lagos City Boy II, has finally arrived—serving a gritty fusion of raw street vibes, poetic expression, and party anthems straight from the heart of Lagos.
Now based in Houston, Trilla brings the heat from his roots, infusing every bar with the essence of the Lagos hustle. Born Victor Kenna Njoku on July 28, 1991, in Victoria Island, Lagos, Trilla spent his early childhood soaking in the pulse of the city before relocating to the iconic Festac Town in 1996. It was there that he came of age—surrounded by hood culture, school challenges, and the rhythm of the streets that would shape his lyrical identity.
In 2011, a bold move to London introduced him to an entirely new world. Juggling college life and music, Trilla immersed himself in the UK scene, blending his Nigerian roots with global influences. That journey came full circle in 2020, when he returned to Lagos just before the COVID-19 pandemic to work on his debut, Lagos City Boy, released in 2021.
Now, with Lagos City Boy II, Trilla reclaims his narrative, channeling the tension, triumph, and tempo of two cities that raised him—Lagos and London. From sharp lyrics that cut through industry noise to infectious beats that command movement, the mixtape is both a personal journal and a street sermon.
🎧 Stream Lagos City Boy II now on all major platforms.
This isn’t just a mixtape—it’s a movement. Welcome back to the city.
