Three sisters have died in the sea with their bodies since found on the beach in Brighton in the United Kingdom (UK). Their father reportedly described them as the “beautiful light that filled our family with happiness and love.”
Local media reports in the UK say Sussex police identified the three sisters on Wednesday, May 19, 2026 as Jane Adetoro, age 36, Christina Walter, age 32, and Rebecca Walter, age 31.
The sisters, according to reports, were from the Uxbridge area of London.
Their father, Joseph, in his tribute to them, says their lives “ended so tragically far too soon.”
In a statement, Joseph says “Jane, Christina, and Becky were more than daughters to me; they were my joy, my strength and the beautiful light that filled our family with happiness and love.”
He noted that “Each of you was unique and precious in your own special way. Your smiles brightened dark days, your laughter brought comfort and your presence made life more meaningful”, adding that “Though your time on Earth was short, the impact you made will remain in our hearts forever.”
A report by The Guardian says emergency services were called after concerns were raised for a person’s welfare at about 5:45am on May 13, 2026 before three bodies were pulled from the water near Madeira Drive.
