It would be recalled that on October 16, 2021, President Hassan laid the foundation stone for the building.
And after commencing services this year, she officially unveiled the building on Wednesday, June 24.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, she thanked the leadership of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Tanzania “for their contribution in strengthening health services to the citizens.”
She said the investment in the Radiation Therapy Building has “brought a significant difference to citizens by reducing medical costs, saving their time and lives and reducing congestion at the Cancer Institute Ocean Road, Dar es Salaam.”
According to her, the project “reflects the government’s determination to bring cancer services closer to the citizens through cooperation with the private sector and religious institutions.”
