A married Nigerian woman who faked her own kidnapping has been arrested by police after she was found in a hotel with her secret lover, leaving her husband and family completely embarrassed and disappointed.
The woman, identified as Oluchi, was arrested by the Edo State Police Command.
She had allegedly faked her own kidnapping in the Ikpoba Hills area of the state.
Eno Ikoedem, the Edo State Police Command spokesperson, confirmed the arrest to the media on Monday, June 8, 2026.
Prior to the arrest, Oluchi’s family had raised an alarm over her suspected abduction.
