John Dumelo Pledges Laptops, Freezers, Phones to Ghana Fans Who Predict Black Stars vs Panama Score Correctly

Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has pledged exciting rewards to football fans as the Black Stars prepare to face Panama in their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada this evening.

In a Facebook post that has generated significant attention online, Dumelo invited Ghanaians to predict the scoreline of the highly anticipated encounter, promising prizes ranging from laptops and deep freezers to mobile phones for lucky participants.

“Predict the scores between Ghana and Panama and I will give u a reward. From laptops, to deep freezers to mobile phones. All predictions must be commented under this post before 11pm today,” Dumelo wrote.

Beyond the score prediction challenge, the Ayawaso West Wuogon MP also encouraged residents within his constituency to display their support for the national team by hoisting the Ghana flag at their homes and business premises.

“Also, just put a Ghana flag in front of your shop or home in Ayawaso West and I will reward you when I spot you. Go Black Stars go!! idey4u,” he added.
