The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has recorded a profit after tax of GH¢16.96 million for the 2025 financial year, representing a 661.36 per cent increase over the GH¢2.23 million recorded in 2024.
Managing Director of the company, Nana Kwasi Boatey, attributed the significant improvement to increased revenue, improved operational efficiency, expenditure controls and a series of management reforms introduced after he assumed office in February 2025. Presenting the company’s performance at the Government Accountability Series at Jubilee House on Monday, November 2, he said the 2025 financial year marked a turning point in GPCL’s financial recovery.
According to the audited financial results, the company’s revenue increased from GH¢60.78 million in 2024 to GH¢72.85 million in 2025, representing a 19.87 per cent growth. Its operating profit also rose significantly from GH¢2.95 million to GH¢19.58 million, representing an increase of 564.66 per cent, while profit before tax increased from GH¢3.41 million to GH¢21.44 million.
Mr Boatey said the improved performance had strengthened the company’s financial position and created room for further investment.
“The 2025 financial year marked a historic turning point in the company’s operational and financial recovery,” he said, adding that GPCL had moved from financial strain to a position of stronger profitability and sustainable growth.
He further disclosed that the company had performed even better in the first ten months of 2026 and was on course to surpass its 2025 results.
