Ghana Rescues and Repatriates 28 Citizens Trafficked to Côte d’Ivoire

Ghana has rescued and repatriated 28 of its citizens from Côte after they fell victim to human trafficking.

In a statement dated May 10, 2026, Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration said the victims were “predominantly youth.”
