Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Spokesperson to President John Dramani Mahama and the Ghanaian Government Minister for Communications, has stated that claims by former Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, that Finance Minister, Cassiel Ato Forson is only paying “audio money” to contractors under the Ghanaian government’s major infrastructure program, The Big Push project, are false.

Kwakye Ofosu dismissed the claims while speaking on Accra-based Metro TV on Friday, October 31, 2025.

In the interview monitored by Africa Publicity, Kwakye Ofosu explained that the Finance Minister is releasing “real money” to ensure projects under The Big Push program are funded and completed on schedule.

According to him, “The suggestion that what the Finance Minister is releasing is ‘audio money’ is simply false.”

He added that “Dr Ato Forson is ensuring that actual funds reach contractors across the country.”

Kwakye Ofosu further clarified that “These are real disbursements for real work, not empty announcements as alleged by the former Minister.”

According to him, The Big Push project is central to the government’s agenda to transform Ghana’s infrastructure landscape through timely financing and accountability.
