In Ghana’s fast-evolving music scene, DJ Nayiram stands out as a visionary reshaping how African sounds resonate worldwide. Born in Madina, Accra, and now bridging continents, Nayiram has transformed his passion for music into a mission of cultural connection and innovation.
From his early days experimenting with PCDJ software in Ghana to becoming a sought-after DJ in Tacoma, Washington, Nayiram’s journey reflects relentless determination. Recognizing the lack of African-themed dance events in his new environment, he began hosting house parties that soon evolved into dynamic platforms celebrating Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Afrohouse.
Nayiram’s philosophy as a DJ is simple yet impactful: “Give the people what they came for and what they didn’t know they came for.” His genre-blending sets incorporate Baile Funk, UK Garage, and more, crafting immersive narratives that captivate audiences.
This unique approach has landed him on prestigious stages, including the Barclays Center with Asake and Seattle’s Blast Fest, alongside stars like Black Sherif, Tiwa Savage, Rema, and Davido. Beyond performing, Nayiram’s curated events, The Afrobeats Party and Amapiano Is Here, have become cultural phenomena, uniting diverse communities through music.
But DJ Nayiram’s artistry doesn’t stop at spinning tracks. As a producer, he collaborates with artists like KaySo and Nu Kru, creating tracks like “Waiting Outside” that explore themes of love, struggle, and celebration. His upcoming release on January 16, 2025, featuring Bapi Joss and DJ Bass, promises to showcase his signature fusion of sounds while offering fans fresh insights into his evolving craft.
For Nayiram, the future is about amplifying Ghanaian music on global stages while staying true to his roots. “Ghanaian music has a unique energy, and my job is to help people feel that wherever I play,” he asserts.
With plans to expand his events and release more music, DJ Nayiram is not just a DJ—he’s a cultural curator, leaving a lasting legacy that bridges cultures and inspires the next generation.
