Atlanta Hawks Pay Tribute to Kendrick Lamar’s Viral Super Bowl Performance

Kendrick Lamar’s influence is reaching beyond music and into the NBA, as the Atlanta Hawks recently honored his viral Super Bowl halftime performance of Not Like Us during their game against the Golden State Warriors over the weekend.

During a break in the game, the Hawks’ mascot and dance team recreated elements of Lamar’s now-iconic Drake diss track performance, even featuring an Uncle Sam figure, similar to the one portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson during the Super Bowl show.

The crowd erupted with excitement, singing along and reacting enthusiastically to the track’s standout “A minor” line, solidifying the song’s growing cultural impact.

Kendrick Lamar & the 2028 Olympics?

Lamar’s Super Bowl performance has been widely praised, and his influence may soon extend to an even bigger stage—the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

According to Casey Wasserman, Lamar’s booking agent and the Chairman of the L.A. Olympic Games organizing committee, the rapper is likely to be involved in some capacity.

“Fortunately, in my day job, I represent Kendrick Lamar. He is truly an L.A. icon, so I think it would be a pretty fair bet that Kendrick will be involved in the Olympics in Los Angeles in some way,” Wasserman stated.

With Lamar’s cultural impact at an all-time high, fans are now eagerly anticipating his potential role in one of the world’s biggest sporting events.
